Thursday 05 May 2022

With the submission of a new application for the development of the Pointues Rocques site, at Pointues Rocques/Robergerie, St Sampsons, Islanders are advised that fresh representations making any comments on the proposals will need to be submitted to the Planning Service in order to be taken into consideration.

The current application (FULL/2022/0692) is being publicised by way of site notices, the gov.gg website and also in the media. The statutory period for public consultation is 21 days from the date on the site notice; the public consultation therefore concludes at midnighton 11th May 2022.

Given the high-profile nature of this site and the level of public engagement with the previous application, the Authority is seeking to clarify to interested parties/individuals that, as this is a new application, they will need to submit fresh representations if they wish to make comments, even if they have made representations on the previous application for the site.

The decision on the previous, refused application is a material planning consideration and will be referred to by the Planning Service when reporting on the current application. As such, a copy of the previous planning report which summarised the consultations and representations on the previous, refused application, will be appended to a new planning report for the current application.

The application will be considered by the political Committee of the Development & Planning Authority at an Open Planning Meeting, the arrangements for which will be publicised in due course.
