Work to re-surface the tarmac car park at Footes Lane will begin on Monday 15th August. It is estimated the work will continue for approximately three weeks - until the end of the school holidays.
Work to re-surface the tarmac car park at Footes Lane will begin on Monday 15th August. It is estimated the work will continue for approximately three weeks - until the end of the school holidays.
The work comprises of three parts - the resurfacing of the main car park, the resurfacing of the road approaching the car park, and the resurfacing of a section of the bus turning point area. If there are still parts of the work outstanding by the end of the summer holidays, it is expected the remaining works will be rescheduled for the October half term.
The work will look to address some of the issues regarding the build-up of water by the crossing, as well as providing a much-improved level, smooth and safe surface, without the need for regular patch repairs.
