Tuesday 27 September 2022

Thursday 29 September 2022 will once again showcase the work of the Bailiwick's Care Support Workers during a full day of events including talks and speeches from HSC Heads of Services, an exhibition representing all service areas and the Care Certificate Programme along with the presentation of awards.

Helena Avery, Lead for the Care Certificate said:

'Our Care Support Workers do amazing work and provide essential services across all areas of health and social care.

I am delighted that we can celebrate Care Support Worker Day and highlight the wide variety of roles that are carried out by these unregistered staff daily. There are no specific qualifications needed to be a support worker - beyond a positive attitude and willingness to learn - which are essential. However, with the training and support provided by HSC colleagues, we now have highly skilled care support workers and this day is to celebrate all their hard work.'

Following the talks and speeches, awards will be presented for:

We would encourage anyone interested in a career as a Care Support Worker to visit gov.gg/careers for our current vacancies and opportunities.
