The guaranteed first prize in this year's Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has now risen to £340,000, with more than three weeks still to go until the bumper draw.
Jon Taylor, Senior Lottery Officer for States Trading Group, which operates the Lottery in Guernsey said:
"Sales are building as we get closer to Christmas. In particular, syndicate sales are increasing across the Channel Islands, and if currents sales patterns continue, we hope that by the day of the draw we can get close to last year's top prize of £630,852."
The lottery draw on Tuesday 20 December will include 66 other prizes, from £500 to £50,000. Each ticket also includes a scratch card element, with lucky winners getting between £2 and £5,000.
All the Guernsey proceeds from the Christmas Lottery go to the Social Investment Fund, which provides financial support for local charities and good causes.
