Access to cervical screening becomes easier as 'out of hours' appointments are made available

Tuesday 04 April 2023

Cervical screening sessions in Guernsey are more accessible for islanders as 'out of hours' appointments are now being offered.

Previously, people who work full time, have children or work shift hours are potentially missing out on screening because they believe they wouldn't be able to get an 'out of hours' appointment.

The following places offer a wide range of appointment times:

Queens Road Surgery:

Longfrie Surgery:

Rohais, Cobo, High Street and St Martins surgeries:

St Sampsons and L'Aumone surgeries:

St Sampson's Surgery

Orchard Centre:

Cervical screening is available for women and anyone with a cervix aged between 25 and 65. Appointments are FREE OF CHARGE when seen by a nurse, and quick (approximately 15 minutes). You can bring someone to support you/chaperone you if you would like.

If you are registered with a GP, you will be invited when your next test is due, please only make an appointment when you are due and have been invited.

If you are in any way worried about cervical screening, please give your normal surgery or clinic a call and they can arrange for someone to talk to you before you book.
