In recognition of the completion of the IOSH Managing Safety qualification, 10 HSC staff are to be awarded their certificates of completion on Thursday 20th April 2023.
The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the chartered body for safety and health professionals and facilitates training across the globe.
Don Lewis, Head of Health, Safety and Fire Risk, HSC said:
'The IOSH training undertaken by HSC staff demonstrates their commitment to safety and health. The IOSH training embeds systematic and organised methods of improving occupational safety and health into the workplace resulting in a safer working environment for everyone.
Upon receipt of this qualification, HSC staff members are considered Safety Champions within their respective departments with their main safety objectives concentrating on both individual and team safety empowerment as a means of continuously improving HSC safety culture'
Deputy Al Brouard, HSC President said:
'I am really pleased to have been asked to present the certificates to the staff who have undertaken this training. This has been completed alongside busy and demanding day jobs.
On behalf of the Committee, I congratulate them all for successfully completing this training.'
