States of Guernsey seeks business views on Brexit

BREXIT

Businesses in the Bailiwick are being asked to share information and views on Brexit, to help inform the States of Guernsey on this important issue.

The States of Guernsey has commissioned BMG Research Limited to carry out a study of the potential impact of Brexit on businesses in the Bailiwick. The researchers will also be gathering views on joining the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

The findings will be used by the States to inform extensive ongoing work to plan for the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union. The research will also help the States to prepare for the future economic framework between the UK and the EU, and any opportunities which may arise for the Bailiwick, an important aspect of which involves preparing the Bailiwick to potentially join the WTO under the UK's membership.

BMG Research are conducting the survey primarily by telephone, with calls being made by trained market researchers, to a sample of local businesses of varying sizes and across various economic sectors. However, any business not contacted by the researchers, or which does not wish to participate in a telephone survey, also has the option of completing an online version of the survey, at http://survey.euro.confirmit.com/wix/p1867750854.aspx

Businesses also have the option to request to participate in the telephone survey, by supplying their contact details to the survey project team at: BrexitSurvey@gov.gg

The survey will close at midnight on Monday 24th September.

Closes: 24th September 2018
