The Committee for Home Affairs has been contacted by a number of licensees with expressions of interest for extending licensing hours on Sunday, with a 10am opening time.
England will face Spain in the final of the FIFA Women's World Cup which kicks off at 11am.
Officers have now received advice as to how an extension to licensing hours can be applied for in such circumstance and at short notice. All licensees who are interested in extending their licensing hours, must complete and submit the relevant application which can be found online at gov.gg/liquorlicensingordinance19 before 6pm today (Friday 18th August).
As it manages the expressions of interest, Home Affairs is also in the process of contacting parish officials across all Guernsey parishes who will be required to provide their support to any applications from within their parish.
Further details on the licensing arrangements for Sunday will be released as soon as possible.
