The Future Model of Care policy priority area incorporates three interlinked policy priorities being led by the Committee for Health & Social Care. These are titled 'Partnership of Purpose', 'Health & Wellbeing', and 'Regulation of Health & Care'.
The Partnership of Purpose is designed to transform health and care services to meet our future needs, given changing demographics and financial pressures. It places islanders' needs at the heart of the system, with GPs, medical specialists, and third sector organisations working together with the Committee for Health & Social Care to deliver integrated services.
Health & Wellbeing is focused on public health and relates to organised measures (public or private) to prevent disease, promote health, and prolong life among the population as a whole.
The focus of the third policy priority is effective, proportionate Regulation of Health & Care. This will help to ensure that islanders receive regulated healthcare provision whether they are at their GP's surgery, at the dentist, in the hospital, in a care home, or receiving care in their own home.
