Funding for Study

We support students choosing to study at university through a means-tested grant scheme. The amount of funding received is dependent on a number of factors, including an assessment of parental income.

We help students towards the cost of tuition fees, their living costs in the form of a maintenance grant and travel costs.

More than £5 million is spent per year supporting around 700 students studying full-time higher education courses outside of the Bailiwick.

We produce a number of downloadable leaflets which provide advice and guidance on applying for a grant, who is eligible and current fees and allowances for different courses.

For students who are at the Grammar School, Elizabeth College or The Ladies' College, forms are available from your school.  For students who are at the CFE or who have taken a gap year, please contact the Student Finance team to get your form.

Bailiwick students are not entitled to apply for funding from the UK Student Loans Company.

Please note that applications for Independent Student Bursaries (please see guide) must be submitted to the Student Finance team by 30th June prior to the commencement of the course. Late applications will not be considered.

Please contact the Student Finance team to make an appointment.
