On this page you can view details of Needs Assessments conducted by Public Health Services
This is the first population-based Joint Strategic Needs Assessment that has been conducted in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is part of the Partnership of Purpose and maps the current and future needs of people over 50 in Guernsey and Alderney.
The report presents a summary of the needs and current services provided for people over 50 years of age by both the States of Guernsey, private and voluntary sectors. Read the full report in the downloads section on this page.
Output
Through extensive engagement with the community, the health, care and support needs of the over 50s have been identified as well as service gaps. Guernsey identified 31 projects and a further 10 in Alderney. These projects were then prioritised by the community in both Guernsey and Alderney.
Implementation
Results will be communicated to, and delivered by, various States Committees, the voluntary sector and the public, not just the Committee for Health & Social Care. There will be regular updates on project progress which will be available in the downloads section of the page.
