In October 2018, the Committee confirmed that the two colleges would be based at Baubigny in St Sampson's and Les Beaucamps in Castel. However, the names of these sites will change.
The whole community are impacted by education and therefore, the Committee are looking for suggestions for the name of the new school and its two colleges.
When thinking about your suggestions, please consider:
- relevance to education
- association to the Bailiwick
- prominence and timelessness
- how easy the name is to pronounce and spell
The Committee has come up with a few suggestions to get you started which can be found in the downloads section of this page.
The best way to put forward your suggestions is through our online form. Alternatively, you can send us an email at email@example.com or send a letter to The Education Office, Sir Charles Frossard House, La Charroterie, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 1FH.
Ideas can be submitted until midnight on Sunday 21st April 2019.
All suggestions will be reviewed by the Committee for Education, Sport & Culture before they make the final decision on the names of the new 11-18 school and its two colleges ahead of the end of this academic year.
Closes: 21st April 2019
