At its Open Planning Meeting on Wednesday 14th August, the Development & Planning Authority discussed application FULL/2017/0995 - Domarie and Avondale Vineries.
The application requested a "change of use of horticultural buildings, glasshouse and land to south-east of site to form 15 storage units and 2 open yards. Undertake landscaping. (Revised scheme)"
The majority of Members voted to defer the decision in order to request additional information on vehicle access and traffic safety from the applicant. The Authority anticipated that the decision on this application would be made within 8 weeks as part of one of their normal meetings. However, the Authority has agreed that it is in the best interests of the community for the review of the additional information and the decision to be made in public.
As a result, an Open Planning Meeting has been arranged for Wednesday 23rd October. This will take place in the Delancey/Cambridge Room at Beau Sejour at 1:15pm for a 1:30pm start. Members of the public who have previously made a representation on this application have been invited to speak at the OPM. Issues to be discussed are limited to the reasons for deferral and the new video evidence provided.
The video evidence provided by the applicant, an independent video produced by the Authority, and an addendum to the published planning application report will be made available online at www.gov.gg/opm from Wednesday 16th October.
