The Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure is welcoming the reinstatement of the online live bus tracker on www.buses.gg.
The reintroduction of this tool will help provide better, up-to-date, information to bus passengers which is particularly important as the operator continues to manage some service cancellations due to an ongoing shortage of drivers. With the tracker reinstated, it means waiting passengers also have the ability to check the bus is on its way, if it is delayed for any reason.
Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez, President of the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure, said:
"We have shared in the frustration from passengers about the lack of a live tracker, so we're pleased the operator has responded to our request to make it available again. Real-time information will help Guernsey continue to grow bus passenger numbers, which in turn helps to reduce the traffic on our roads and our carbon emissions and supports our local economy too."
