How to make an Out of Policy Employment Permit application for your employee.
Where an employer wishes to recruit to a role which does not appear in the Employment Permit Policy [415kb] then they can make an application for an 'out of policy' Employment Permit. Our
Application Fees [477kb] details the fees payable for all types of Employment Permit.
Any 'out of policy' application would need to include information to evidence that the necessary skill-set and/or labour is in short supply locally. This should include evidence of recruitment efforts i.e. advertisements, contact with the job centre and any other initiatives taken in an effort to first recruit locally.
We encourage all employers contact us for further guidance, prior to applying for an 'out of policy' Employment Permit.
