  • BACHELOR OF ARTS (HONOURS) DEGREE IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PRACTICE

    • The BA (Hons) Health and Social Care Practice is delivered as a partnership between the Institute and Middlesex University. This programme is primarily designed to enable students, who will be predominantly Registered Health and Social Care Professionals, to achieve a relevant post-qualifying degree in Professional Practice.  In addition, it aims to provide continuing professional development opportunities related to health and social care to enable students to fulfil the requirements of professional revalidation.
    • As this is a practice-focussed course, students will normally be working within the field of Health & Social Care but consideration may be given to applicants seeking additional knowledge and skills that relate to the health and social care needs of the community they serve (for example police). In addition, admission is also available to students from other professional backgrounds who seek to undertake the Leadership or Teaching, Learning and Assessment focused modules within the programme.
    • Students can choose modules that are most appropriate to their area of work. These are designed to be flexible in content to allow participants to concentrate on relevant learning for their roles.

  • POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES

    • These programmes are designed for people working in any of the health and social care professions who already have a degree.  The course is a partnership between the Institute and Middlesex University.  Students can choose to study towards gaining one of the following qualifications:
    • ·         Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice
      ·         Post Graduate Certificate in Professional Education
      ·         Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice
      ·         Masters Degree
      ·         Single Continuing Professional Development Modules
    • There is shared learning between the different qualifications and students can choose modules that are most appropriate to their area of work.  The modules are designed to be flexible in content to allow students to concentrate on relevant learning for their roles.  These roles include working as an Advanced Practitioner, in Teaching and Learning, or as a Leader and Management.  Students may also take a more specialised course elsewhere and apply for the learning to be used to count towards this programme.
Students will usually already have an honours degree relevant to an area of Health and Social care, although other experience and qualification may be considered.
