Children and their parents warned of the risks of climbing seawall scaffolding

Friday 15 July 2022

The Coastal Infrastructure Team are urging Islanders not to climb on the scaffolding at Havelet. It's after the team became aware of instances of young people climbing the scaffolding on the sea defence wall.

There is a real risk that this could lead to a serious injury and so the Team are appealing to young people and to parents be aware of the serious risks of climbing on scaffolding on a sea wall. Warning signage has also been placed at the site.

The scaffolding is in place to enable repairs and maintenance to this important coastal infrastructure.
