The States of Guernsey alongside the Town Centre Partnership would like to hear your views on the new parking arrangements during the festive period.
People parking in St Peter Port will have longer to shop and socialise in Town this Christmas, because of changes to the permitted length of stay in certain St Peter Port car parks.
The following arrangements will apply from Thursday 30th November 2017 to Thursday 4th January 2018:
- The 2 hour disc parking zones at the Albert Pier, Crown Pier and North Beach car parks will be extended to 3 hours on weekdays.
- On Saturdays, all parking restrictions at the above zones, plus the existing 3 hour spaces on North Beach, will be suspended.
More details on these arrangements, and the additional parking made available to the public in other areas of Town, are available in the media release which can be found in the 'useful links' section at the bottom of this page.
The arrangements have been agreed by the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure, following a request from the Town Centre Partnership. In order to measure the impact of the temporary changes, we would like to hear your experiences. Your feedback will help us to evaluate the changes and will inform the States of Guernsey's approach to parking arrangements in the future, including Christmas parking.
A copy of the survey can be found at the following link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/XmasParking
The deadline for completion is 12th January 2018.
