Environment Department response to media enquiry from BBC Guernsey.
BBC Guernsey Enquiry:
The traffic department had staff at North Beach car park this morning.
What work were they accessing with what appeared to be speed guns?
There's talk of a pedestrian crossing potentially being put in there...is this investigative work to see if a crossing is viable?
Environment Department Response:
The Environment Department can confirm that it was carrying out speed surveys and pedestrian counts today at the North Beach access road, in order to assess an enquiry about pedestrian movements in this area.
