Household Expenditure Survey Christmas Prize Draw

Wednesday 05 December 2012

The second of four prize draws for households participating in the Policy Council's Household Expenditure Survey is to be held on Friday 21 December2012 and the winners will be contacted before Christmas.

The winners will receive a first prize of £2,000 and there are also five runner up prizes of £100 each. In order to be entered into this draw, households must return their survey forms to Island Analysis or complete the online survey by Friday 14 December 2012.

The survey is being carried out by Island Analysis over a full year and there will be two further draws held for households participating in later stages of the survey. Please contact Island Analysis if you wish to take part.

The survey is used to collect information (in confidence) about households' spending patterns. It is important that as many households as possible take part as the survey is used to update the Guernsey RPIX and RPI and will ensure that they continue to accurately measure the changes in costs experienced by local households. RPI and RPIX are used for a wide variety of purposes including wage, rent and maintenance increases, budgeting and price setting. They are also used by the States to inform decisions including the regular reviews of tax allowances and benefits.
