The Health and Social Services Department has today released the un-redacted version of the Lightfoot Solutions' Review of the Ambulance Service.
The Department originally agreed to redact the report as St John needed to consult staff sensitively about the future of the organisation. It was felt that the redacted information was likely to have a detrimental impact on the early stages of those discussions. However, HSSD understands that the consultations have now progressed to a point where this will no longer be a concern.
Deputy Mark Dorey, Health and Social Services Department Minister said:
"The Department will be bringing a report on the Ambulance Service to the States this year. This report will include an update on progress of actions relating the recommendations made in the Lightfoot Solutions Review. It will also set out the proposed model for the future delivery of the service. On this basis, we have agreed with St John that it is the right time to release the full report."
