Guernsey's greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 11.6% in 2010, when they totaled 379.1kt of carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent, compared to 428.9kt in 2009.
The cumulative percentage change between 1990 and the 2008 to 2010 average (which was 399.3kt of CO2 equivalent) was a decrease of 19.5% (or 96.9kt of CO2 equivalent). This exceeds the Kyoto Protocol target of a decrease of 12.5%.
