Friday 09 September 2022

In order to mark the Principal Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III there will be a 21-gun salute at Castle Cornet at 11am on Saturday 10th September.

Members of the public can go to Castle Cornet to watch the gun salute. There will be no admission charge. Anyone wanting to watch the gun salute, must enter the Castle before 10.45am and remain there until the gun salute is finished as the Castle Bridge will be closed. Otherwise, the Castle will be open from 10am - 5pm as normal.

The Principal Proclamation itself is read in London.

Official Proclamations will also take place in Guernsey the following day, Sunday 11th September, alongside Proclamations in the Devolved Administrations. There will be opportunities for the public to attend these Proclamations and details of these will follow soon.
