There were 284 people unemployed at the end of July 2017, a decrease of 37 on the June 2017 figure.
At the end of July 2016 the number was 372.
A further 265 people were registered as unemployed but had some work during the last week of the month. This number includes people in part-time or casual employment as well as some people who are fully employed but who are eligible for supplementary benefit on top of their low earnings. Also there were 38 people on training schemes.
There were 7 people in Alderney registered as unemployed at the end of July 2017.
