Les Amarreur - boats and kayaks on grassland

Thursday 15 August 2019

Boat owners using Les Amarreurs are asked to contact Agriculture, Countryside & Land Management Services (ACLMS) if they have boats stored on grassland near the slipway by Friday 13th September.

Following discussion with Vale Constables notices have been placed on the boats and kayaks asking for the owner to arrange to remove it to their own property by 13th September.

Any unclaimed boats or kayaks remaining after 13th September will be stored off site and may be offered to the public if not claimed.

Boat and kayak owners are asked to contact ACLMS between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday,Tel: 234567.

The clearance is being undertaken to allow the worn grass behind the beach to regenerate. The improved covering of grass and other maritime plants here will help to bind and protect the sand and soil, reducing the loss of sand on to the footpath and road surface. Whilst the grass regeneration project is underway pedestrians are asked to use the slipway to access the beach and avoid walking over the grass other than to use the two public seats in the area.
