The Planning Service recognises that people self-isolating, in accordance with Public Health advice, will not be able to inspect planning applications for development proposed in their area.
People may wish to view a planning application which has been advertised by site notice or in the Press, but are unable to attend Sir Charles Frossard House to do so because they are self-isolating. If so, they are advised to contact the Planning Service by email addressed to planning@gov.gg or by telephone on 01481 717200 to inform us of this and enable appropriate arrangements to be made, which may involve a delay to determination of the application. This may result in some delay to decisions being made on applications to allow time for people to make representations, if they wish.
The Planning Service would also like to advise that due to the need to practice social distancing, Planning and Building Control officers visiting properties in the course of their duties will not be interacting with occupiers other than to make them aware of their presence. As always, officers will carry official identification which will be shown on request.
