Public Health seeks to understand the impact on islanders who tested positive for COVID-19

Wednesday 05 August 2020

Public Health Services has, today, sent out correspondence to those Islanders who contracted COVID-19 earlier this year.

The survey, which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, will help us to understand the possible healthcare needs of those who have had COVID-19.

Dr Brink, Director of Public Health said:

'It is really important that we know how COVID-19 impacted on those who contracted the virus. Not only will this inform how we tailor services and support to Islanders who may contract the SARS-CoV-19 virus in the future, it will give us information on the long-term impact of the virus on individuals.'

The survey can be completed online here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/aftercoronavirus

The survey has been reviewed and approved by the Health & Social Care Ethics Committee. Information will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be shared with other States of Guernsey service areas without consent.
