The Government Work Plan Scrutiny Panel is holding a public hearing with the Policy & Resources Committee at the Castel Douzaine Room, between 14:00 and 16:00 on Monday 30th May 2022.
The Scrutiny Management Committee believes the importance of the Government Work Plan requires regular and ongoing Parliamentary scrutiny. This hearing will provide an opportunity for scrutiny of the recently published update of the progress made on the States Government Work Plan.
The Scrutiny Panel for this hearing will comprise Deputy Yvonne Burford (Chair), Deputy Simon Fairclough, Deputy Gavin St Pier and Deputy Adrian Gabriel.
This is a formal parliamentary proceeding and therefore members of the public are welcome to attend in an observational capacity, but are not able to ask questions or make any comment whilst the hearing is in progress.
The hearing will also be live streamed on YouTube via https://youtu.be/J16d_vWWExY
The President of the Scrutiny Management Committee and Chair of its Government Work Plan Scrutiny Panel, Deputy Yvonne Burford, commented:
"This Panel was established by the Scrutiny Management Committee in order to effectively scrutinise the ongoing progress of the Government Work Plan. The Policy & Resources Committee has been granted unprecedented authority by the States in its delivery of the Government Work Plan and it is vital that progress is scrutinised on behalf of the public in terms of timely delivery and value for the taxpayer and the community."
