What we can offer NQTs

States-maintained schools welcome applications from newly qualified teachers (NQTs).

The progress of all local students undertaking initial teacher training programmes off-Island is tracked by the States of Guernsey. We then contact all these students as they come to the end of their training programmes and advise them of our recruitment procedures and how they can access suitable job vacancies.

We offer a recognised induction programme for all NQTs. During this time you teach a reduced timetable, have the support of an experienced teacher and are given an individual development plan.
