The Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service is recruiting for new firefighters.
The organisation will be holding selection tests for individuals who believe they have the necessary qualities, skills, and attributes to work in a challenging and rewarding full time career.
Selection processes are held every few years and are used to identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies that may occur in the next two years.
Jon Le Page, Chief Fire Officer, said:
"Our front-line firefighters act as an integral part of the community's emergency response capabilities. We work within the community to prevent emergencies from occurring through our fire safety arm, and then minimise the impact when they do occur. We are looking for candidates who are fit, have a good standard of education, and are up to the rigorous and demanding standards of the selection process. Most importantly though, we want people who are willing to serve their community, and train hard to tackle emergencies as and when they occur."
The selection process incorporates written, practical, and physical fitness assessments. It takes place across a number of dates in May and June.
