The number of jobseekers without work at the end of December was 287, a decrease of 15 from the previous month.
Compared to the previous month, the total number of jobseekers with some work also decreased from 233 to 220 people.
The Job Centre promoted 198 jobs in December.
A number of training schemes and placements were run through the Job Centre to support people into employment. At the end of September there were 40 people on training schemes such as Work to Benefit, Kickstart and placements with the third sector.
The number of new claims for employment and income-related benefits increased, with 20 new claims made, compared with 16 in the previous month.
These figures are a snapshot taken at the end of December 2023.
