Trading Standards administers the Weights and Measures (Guernsey and Alderney) Law, 1991.
Weights and measures legislation covers the requirements for notification of the consumers about quantities the food, drink and other goods sold, packed in or outside the presence of the customer, and the equipment used to do it.

- Builders Merchant
- Freight Carrier
- Jeweller (if you trade in scrap metals or precious stones by weight)
- Petrol and diesel forecourts
